Frequently Asked Questions
Frequently Asked Questions
Answers to common questions about hair transplantation
How long does a hair transplant take?+
Most procedures take between 6 and 8 hours depending on the number of grafts and the chosen technique.
Is the procedure painful?+
The procedure is performed under local anesthesia. Most patients describe it as comfortable, with only mild discomfort during the anesthetic injections.
When will I see results?+
Initial growth typically starts around month 3 to 4. Full results appear at 12 to 18 months after the procedure.
Are the results permanent?+
Yes. Transplanted follicles are taken from genetically resistant zones and continue to grow permanently in their new location.
How soon can I return to work?+
Most patients return to work within 3 to 5 days. Strenuous activity should be avoided for two weeks.
Is local or general anesthesia used?+
All procedures at Hang Da use local anesthesia. You remain comfortably awake throughout, can listen to music, watch films, eat, and use your phone. General anesthesia is unnecessary and carries higher risk for an elective scalp procedure.
How many grafts will I need?+
It depends on your hair loss pattern, donor capacity, and the density you want to achieve. Norwood 3 cases typically need 2,500–3,500 grafts; Norwood 4–5 need 3,500–5,000; advanced cases up to 6,500 across one or two sessions. Your free consultation includes a precise estimate.
Will the result look natural?+
Yes. Modern Sapphire FUE and DHI place follicles at the exact angle, direction, and density of natural growth. Hairlines are designed in advance based on your facial proportions and approved by you before any incision is made.
What is included in the price?+
Our €1,750 package covers the surgery itself, pre-operative blood tests, the PRP support session, all medications, post-operative kits, and lifetime follow-up appointments. Consultations are free.
When can I exercise again?+
Light walking is fine from day one. Avoid weight training, swimming, sauna, and contact sports for two weeks. Gradual return to full exercise by week four.
What if my transplanted hair falls out?+
A natural shedding phase between weeks two and eight is part of every transplant cycle — the follicles remain alive beneath the skin and regrow from month three. This is a normal, expected phase, not failure.
Do you offer a growth guarantee?+
Yes. Hang Da provides a written growth guarantee. If transplanted follicles do not yield, we re-implant at no additional surgical cost within the first 18 months.
How is Hang Da different from other clinics?+
Surgeons (not technicians) perform the critical steps, ratios of one coordinator per patient, transparent all-inclusive pricing, lifetime follow-up, and a written guarantee. Every patient meets the lead surgeon in person on the day of the procedure.
